it’s all coming together.

I felt better this morning when I drove up to Naha and got my paperwork/pictures turned in for my passport. Not only did I miss work for a good two hours… I’m that much closer to clearing my mind.

go on and date.

I’m pretty damn depressed right now. I didn’t think I could be so crushed.

Felicia, how could you be so heartless?

ummm.. a dog?

May 27th, 2009

On my way to get some dinner before hitting the gym, I walked out the door of our apartment and found a dog staring at me. The black and white Okinawan mix looked familiar to the apartment. I knew there was an Army LT who lives in our building had a similar dog. The dog was very playful and never really ran away from me too far, so I led him around to try to find this officer and give him his dog back. Remembering what parking spot the LT parks in let me know what floor to check out. As soon as the dog and I walked off the elevator for the

sixth floor, the dog ran straight to right and to the door ahead. I rang the doorbell a few times and no answer. At this point I wasn’t sure what to do next… Should I leave him somewhere? Should I take him with me?

Thankfully, just when I was ready to give up… I heard someone whistle from the streets below. I saw the LT walking towards the apartment looking for his missing dog. I yelled down to him that I had his dog and met him downstairs by the elevator.

And all I wanted was Subway!

civilian passport quest.

After finding my documents yesterday, I moved on to actually trying to get my passport completed. Harper, who is also getting his, came along and asked the Military passport people at the MPF where we could acquire our civilian passport book. From there we moved on to getting some pictures taken from a Japanese picture booth where I got my required two 2×2 inch portraits. Finally, I finished my paperwork online and tomorrow I’m headed to the consulate to have it finished and sent out. Here’s to it getting back to me quickly!

just rotate it.

Roebuck and I flipped Colby’s monitor off its mount when he left for some errands. Best part… he’ll think he can just rotate it to fix it.

Well.. off to lunch and to watch Hell’s Kitchen.

the long weekend is over.

May 26th, 2009

For what seemed like it lasted forever, work today was slow rather exciting.

I talked to the new First Shirt about getting the paperwork completed to finalize my license reinstatement. Went to Kadena ITT to find more information on getting out this summer to a few places I want to check out (Bangkok, Singapore, and Tokyo). Found out I will be back in Mississippi for a week for an Microsoft Exchange class the last week of June. And finally, found my missing Social Security card and birth certificate (I had the SS card in an envelope with all my letters from BMT and the birth certificate was at the bottom of my drawer full of paperwork, Mom).
